Mom as an artist- when she wears an artist’s hat

April begins and so does AtoZ challenge and here I begin my month-long journey with my theme – moms be everything. A journey to explore all the roles mom plays while bringing up their kids. A mother plays multiple roles in a child’s development, as she is a teacher in every aspect of a child’s developmental growth – social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and independence. Mom’s be everything is going to be fun as some roles are creatively created and have a fun element too. Moms are artists for life and on every step, she directs and shapes her kid’s life. So let’s explore the letter “A” roles that we moms play in the journey of motherhood.

A – Artist

You can’t deny this, yes we are artists for our kids. When children are bored, mothers come up with ideas. They encourage their children to play, draw, make, scribble, sketch, paint, write, etc. Mothers are not the only artist on teaching foreground, but in the background, a mother is shaping her kid’s life as an artist do. Teaching them and making them learn is an ongoing process of a mother as an artist.
They teach their children nursery rhymes, games, coloring, reading, and fun activities like cooking, running, cycling, crafts, etc. In doing so, they teach their children how to manage their time in productive, effective ways. As an artist, she shapes their skills and creative side.

A mother is her kiddos “Artist”. Not just on paper but an artist of his/ her life. She molds them, She trains them. I do agree, they have to live their life on their own but in basic years it’s a mom only who on the canvas of life, sketches and paints the young years of a child. We try to carefully draw all the lines that can help them in the future. We pick the colors carefully not to spoil the canvas. Being a mom we are the artist to help them hold the pencil which they can use to draw their own life and build a future for themselves. Yes, moms are artists for life for their kids in this beautiful journey called motherhood. As an artist, mothers shape their lives so they become a beautiful strong person.

She is like a potter, an actor, even a singer to her kids. playing multiple roles as any artist.

A – Activities/ Art Director

Well, this needs no explanation, as from childhood we have been doing all sorts of activities for our kids, making their school charts, projects, even sometimes pending work. Yes, being a mom needs you to be activity smart. We need to be active to do all these activities too. Which certainly makes a mom multitasked to do all kinds of activities a child is surrounded with or needs to do.

So keep visiting for more mommy roles this April on my blog with AtoZ Mom’s be everything series. These are just a few reasons that I have listed out; I agree that the list could go on endlessly. If you think I have missed out on something crucial, please add them in the comments section. I would like to add it to my blog and give you credit for the contribution.
