Save Forest Save Wildlife

Today is World Wildlife Day, The theme of World Wildlife Day 2021 — Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet. Even if it’s just one day, but it should be not a day’s affair but an ongoing process to protect and conserve wildlife and forests.

World Wildlife Day is observed on 3 March in order to celebrate the flora and fauna of the world and also raise awareness about them. Earth is home to countless species, and wildlife plays an important role in balancing the environment. It can be found in all ecosystems, deserts, rainforests, plains, and other areas.

World Wildlife Day is an opportunity to celebrate the many beautiful and varied forms of fauna and flora and to raise awareness of the various challenges faced by these species. The day also reminds us of the urgent need to step up the fight against wildlife crime, which has wide-ranging economic, environmental, and social impacts.

Attempted a small poem in Hindi on importance of trees & forests

क्या पूछा तुमने, उस पेड़ को काटने से पहले

क्या सोचा तुमने उस जंगल के घटने से पहले

आज दुनिया बात करती है इजाज़त की

तो क्या ली थी इजाज़त तुमने उस पेड़ से…

क्या सोचा तुमने उसे भी पूछना जरूरी है

क्या देखा तुमने उसमे भी जान अभी बाकी है|

उसकी टहनी जलाने से पहले,

उसकी लकड़ी काटने से पहले,

क्या पूछा तुमने, उस पेड़ को काटने से पहले

क्या सोचा तुमने उस जंगल के घटने से पहले…

यौवन में तुमने उसकी खूबसूरती को था निखारा

अपने परम पर था जब तुमने था उसे सवाँरा

फिर क्या हुआ अचानक की वो खटकने लगा तुम्हे

घर के उस दरवाजे के लिए जचने लगा तुम्हे।

कभी पूजते हो, कभी भूल जाते हो

छांव तले बैठने को भी मुझे ही काट कुर्सी बनाते हो

बूढ़ा हो जाऊ तो कोई हर्ज नहीं

सफर मेरा भी बहुत लंबा तो नहीं.

छोड़ दो मुझे दोस्तों के लिए
छोड़ दो मुझे उन जानवरों और पक्षियों के लिए

जीने दो मुझे मेरी आबोहवा में
अपना आशियाना न ढूंढो मेरे दरख्तों में
