शुभ विजयादशमी

Dussehra / Vijayadahmi is the last day of Navratri (september/ october as per tithi)which falls on the 10th day during the calender month of Ashvin.
This celebration starts from Navratri and ends with the tenth day festival of “Dussehra”. Navratri and Dussehra is celebrated throughout the country for different reasons again proving that India is unity in diversity with varying rituals. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm and energy as it marks the end of summer seasonand the start of winter season.
In North India on the day of dusshera it is marked for win of truth over evil by burning effigies of Ravana. It is also called “Vijayadashmi” as this day marks the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana. For nine days precceedingdusshera is navratri where in Devi puja is conducted worshipping the 9 forms of Goddess durga remembering remembering goddess Durga’s victory over the buffalo demon Mahishasura to help restore Dharma.
In Western India Navratri is celbrated with 9 days of garba, Dandiya. It has more touch of Krishna Raas lila to celebrations.
In Eastern India it is marked with Durga Puja, Pandals and Fairs.
On the day of dusshera Giddess Saraswati the Deity of Knowledge is also worshipped for seeking blessings for Positive thinking and energy, Creative Thinking , Innovation. Saraswati Yantra (Symbol) is drawn on auspicious occasions like Dusshera.
