Hello, Pranam and Namaskar to one and all.

Soon, the calendar enters 2020 and we the lucky lot, get to see the last teens of this century. So much is trending about the “last teens of this century”, “2020”, “last teen year”, this “century” and of course Bollywood which completed its 100 successful years of entertainment. All these thoughts clubbed together made me and my co-host think on the same lines and bingo it happened. That’s when we came up with #BollyExpress. We decided to call all lovely bloggers together for #BollyExpress Blog hop by #ALPxGUN. This will revive the memories of yesteryears when the calendar year is soon going to change saying the last bye to the last teens of the century along with our very own Bollywood and its evergreen songs and prompts full of life that revive golden memories of the past.

And one fine day…

When I was peeping out of the window, thinking about the year. How life is woven around it and memories I collected it, I pondered on the thought that it can form a book virtually. Suddenly the pen crawled towards me and paper said hey it’s me calling you to write.

Also, beside me were photographs recalling all the memories of years, and when I was looking at the pictures full of memories my cozy coffee mug with popcorn was giving me a company to weave yet another story.

After that, this is what came on paper when coffee, coziness, comfort, camera memories, and crafted thoughts came together for our very own #BollyExpress.

अर्ज किया है…

Bollywood तेरी बाली उमर को सलाम,

बीस की generation/ जनरेशन में देखा है मैंने

remake, remix और वही पुराने नाम|

वो दौर था कुछ बेमिसाल अनमोल रत्नों का,

ये दौर है उन रत्नों को यादो में पिरोने का|

ये दुनिया भी एक अलग ही कहानी सुनाती है,

कहानियों की, कलाकारों की,

एक दुनिया अलग सी

जादू की, जज़्बातों की,

ख्वाबों की, ख़यालों की,

ये दुनिया है हसने मुस्कुराने और गुदगुदाने की|

जैसे जिन्दगी दिखाती है उतार और चढ़ाव,

देखें हैं मैंने इनमें भी वैसे ही ख़यालात|

हर कलाकार अपना सा लगता है,

हर कहानी मानो अपनी ही दिखती है|

बस सोचना है हमें,

क्या सीखा हमने इन नामों से, कारनामों से,

क्या समझे हम इस जादूई दुनिया के पात्रो से,

जिंदगी चलने का नाम है और हर मोड़ एक नयी कहानी बताती है|

तो बस जिंदगी को कुछ ऐसे जीए की हम मिसाल ही नहीं बेमिसाल बन जाएं,

और जिंदगी की पिक्चर जो अभी बाकी है, हम उसके बेहतरीन कलाकार कहलाए|

तो आईये करते है
बॉलीवुड के साथ
साल के अंत से एक नयी शुरुआत

ये तो जानते ही हैं न आप,
की एक प्यारी सी तारीख़ होती है
३१ दिसंबर की रात और १ जनवरी की शुरुवात

माना थोड़ा अज़ीब है रिश्ता इन तारीखों और कहानियों का,

तभी तो होते है उनमें यादें और वादें एक साथ|

जैसे हर दिन एक उम्मीद, एक नयी है शुरुआत,

वैसे ही है हर पिक्चर, हर गाना और हर कहानी का कलाकार|

ले कर आता है नया साल, एक और नयी उम्मीद,

साथ मिल जाते है कुछ कर दिखाने के हमारे संवाद|

A little new year Gyan.

So before I wind up my khayalo and khawabo ki duniya, Well, no I’m not asking for any resolution. Let 2020 be the year of ‘ikigai‘. In other words, find a reason to go on without shying away from hard work. Find a purpose that gives you joy and solace.

In other words, keep going come what may like our Sun & moon & all the hardworking people around us. Those who have not danced on new year night coz for them it’s just the calendar that has changed. Milkman will get up as usual at 4, so your cup of tea is not late whether its 31st or 1st, miners are still working the whole night to dig up that extra coal or maybe gold, the maid will have to turn up on time whether its 1st when you had partied hard or even you are on break, factories were working whole night to supply us the best of products on time. Newspaper printers & workers were in search of news & not in pubs.

Well, why I’m sharing this is, so you don’t forget to wish all these little helpers of our life a good year and a good life and start your new year on a good, happy, smiling note by spreading happiness and gratitude around.
