Save the Ozone layer, Save Earth
The ozone layer is depleting
Are you even aware?
You can also contribute
Have you ever given a thought,
To try and save the ozone layer for us.
It’s a reminder & a wake-up call.
You should know its importance
Why we should use some substances,
and why should we not use some,
Whats thinning the layer
It all comes from in the air
Act and react coz Its an alarm
before everything gets harmed.
Ozone you know what it is
The shield in Stratosphere
The layer that’s here
It absorbed the missing radiation
The chemical that is in the atmosphere.
It’s made of three atoms of oxygen
Highly reactive it is
Protects us from UV radiation
but at ground level
it causes pollution and is dangerous
the future result can be disastrous
it causes acid rain and smog
the planet is getting depleted and clogged
Three oxygen atoms make this gas called ozone
It stays in the region of the stratosphere alone
A protocol was made
Production and consumption be controlled
to keep substances that deplete it, on hold
chlorine & bromine are the main causes
also called ozone-depleting substances
It was first seen in the 1970s,
found prominently in polar regions that freeze.
stratospheric ozone was getting reduced,
1 chlorine molecule was able to break thousands of ozone molecules
Chief culprits were CFC’s and HCFC’s were chief culprits,
Halons and ODS joined with a lifetime to beat
Stop using aerosol propellants & refrigerants
Ozone depletion will bring only health hazards
plant life cycles are getting altered,
the food chain is also getting disrupted
Wind patterns and global warming,
climatic changes are storming
Skin burn and skin cancer,
the immune system also in danger.
Aging of the skin and Snow blindness
color pigments of paint and dye cause distress.
aerosols and hair spray fresheners are avoided
Tree planting and gardening be promoted
use Environmental-friendly fertilizers.
Prevent excessive smoke emissions.
Regular maintenance saves on gasoline and crude oil
Do not burn rubber tires, plastics, or aluminum foils.
All I can say is –
Save the ozone layer from depleting by implementing Eco-Friendly methods
Reduce Carbon footprints and let nature breathe in!

A very sensitive issue indeed. Your title says it all earth without ozone is like a house without a roof and just like how we cannot love in a house with a roof we should do our bit to save our ozone layer asthe earth will not survive without it.

Nicely crafted Article. The Ozone is really very important for the survival of the human race as well as any living objects on Earth. If this ozone layer destroys it will take hardly a few seconds for the destruction of life. This awareness needs to be spread.
