Mothers are our guardians for life and guide too.

A mother may be educated or not, but she is the best guide. She is the last hope in the world when you feel you are failing in life. Mothers are our guardians for life and guide too. As a child, we don’t realize the sacrifices our mothers make for us. A father and mother of a child are usually joint guardians. However, in some situations, the mother may be the child’s sole (only) guardian. I’m bought up by such a guardian who shaped my life, she was my guide and mentor too. Today is Letter G in the series – Mom’s Be Everything.

Guide

Our moms are our guides in this life. From the moment you are born you cling to your mother’s arms. You are not quite sure who she is yet, but you are comfortable with familiarity. This one familiar face teaches us a lot in life. You learn how to use your feet and arms and how to say her name, – Mom/ Mummy/ Aai/ Momma/ Amma.

We never realize the impact of mother our life. Every time we fall, she is there to clean up the pieces and put us back together. She breaks with our failures too and smiles at our success too. A mother is there with you every step of your life through the good and even though the bad. Just like any guardian angel, She prays for you, protects you, guides you, and takes care of you just as a guardian angel does.

Guardian

Mothers are our first guardians of life.

You’re my guardian angel.
You brought me up to be the person I am now.
I will always praise you in my heart.
You made all the confusion and pain go away.
Your hugs,
your motherly love,
your advice.
I couldn’t live without it.
When I cried,
you were there with open arms.
When I went through the abuse,
you were my shield and armor.
When there was a conflict between us,
you always forgave me.
Giver

Mom is a giver for life and of life. Just give a thought to all the sacrifices she gave for bringing her flesh and blood. She is a giver all her life. Giving away her favorites above her kids, giving away her choices, giving away her time, effort everything just to bring her kids and make them happy in this journey of motherhood.

She gives us the most exquisite jewelry of hers. All girls in the journey of growing up have worn her mother’s saree, isn’t it, or her special dream. We always look for her collection of antique jewelry as soon as we need to step out for a wedding. She is the one who lends us her best collection of clothes, be it her saree or her lehenga. Mom happily says yes when we ask her to pick her dress, or saree, or even jewelry. Happiest herself, when she gets to see her own piece on her own flesh, on her own skin. Moms feel lovely when they share things with daughters or even sons.

Mom’s gets the best gifts, even without an occasion

Mother is the one who knows how to make our day and never misses a chance to get us a gift even without an occasion. She knows exactly what we need and at what time. Since we grew up haven’t we got surprise gifts often without any reason and those were always our most desired for or items from wishlist. Yes, moms know it all.

“Let the child be the scriptwriter, the director, and the actor in his own play.”
— Magda Gerber

So Mothers are our guardians for life and guide too, they are best gift pickers and givers too. Mom’s be everything and they play numerous roles in the journey of motherhood.

This is the letter “G” in the journey of motherhood where we explore Mom’s roles in their children’s lives. We can say Mom’s are everything for her kids, you name it we have it. 14. Ah yes!! Certainly, she is a giver. Not only jewelry and clothes, she is always there to give herself for the happiness of her kids. This post made me emotional as I read and visualize how mothers play a role of guardians for her children. Those sleepless nights just to make sure the baby is alright, trying to be always around to ensure the safety of kids, and becoming over protective sometimes…. And of course no one can match her guiding skills. Another wonderful post, Pragun
