My TBR 2021

I just need a book, my tea and some peace for good company. So when I wanted to decide for my TBR 2021, I was excited.
Books, stories, tales, kahaniya all this just takes me to one magical world where I want to stay forever. The book-land is my favourite place to be. I love to weave my thoughts around them when I’m reading a book.

Would you like to travel far
From the place where now you are?
Read a book!

TBR 2021

TBR 2021

Even if I read regularly I never thought of taking reading as a challenge. And here 2021 brings a new thing to look forward to when blogchatter brings in #TBRchallenge, with TBR 2021. With blogchatter challenges are always fun be it AtoZ, Alexa, ebook carnival or even cause a chatter. It’s always been fun reading and writing with this community.

Since I want to read more this year I choose the number same as this year i.e. 21 for my TBR 2021. Hope I stick to it and stay more in my book-land to read more and explore more.

Books are ships that sail the seas
To lands of snow or jungle trees.
Books are trains in many lands,
Crossing hills or desert sands.

I’m happy to share I finished my first book which was also a gift by blogchatter i.e. ‘Animal Farm’. Also I’m already halfway thru my second book i.e. ‘Becoming’ by Michelle Obama.

“That’s the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.”

– Jhumpa Lahiri

So are you ready to read this year. If you haven’t checked about this challenge do so now.

‘I resolve to read more this year as I’m participating in the #TBRChallenge by Blogchatter’

Can’t finish my post without sharing this lovely poem on books.

Good Books
by
Edgar Guest

Good books are friendly things to own.
If you are busy they will wait.
They will not call you on the phone
Or wake you if the hour is late.
They stand together row by row,
Upon the low shelf or the high.
But if you’re lonesome this you know:
You have a friend or two nearby.

The fellowship of books is real.
They’re never noisy when you’re still.
They won’t disturb you at your meal.
They’ll comfort you when you are ill.
The lonesome hours they’ll always share.
When slighted they will not complain.
And though for them you’ve ceased to care
Your constant friends they’ll still remain.

Good books your faults will never see
Or tell about them round the town.
If you would have their company
You merely have to take them down.
They’ll help you pass the time away,
They’ll counsel give if that you need.
He has true friends for night and day
Who has a few good books to read.

Check out some book reviews by me.

It is so good to meet a fellow book lover, books always have the power to transport us wherever we wish to be. I am also participating in the challenge this year and so excited about it!

    • Thanks a lot, Richa it’s a pleasant surprise thanks for visiting my blog.
Books are certainly going to take us places.
Glad to know you are also in the challenge, we sure are going to meet so many new books for the next TBR with this.
