“Love is like a tree, it grows of its own accord, it puts down deep roots into our whole being.”
― Victor Hugo
Walking in nature reduces cortisol, the stress hormone, and the lower tension and anxiety. Nature walks enhance mindfulness, allowing the mind to clear and minimize negative thoughts. Walking outdoors enhances circulation, reduces blood pressure, and makes the heart stronger.

This is my beautiful walking track I follow daily in the evening.
Wellington, Tamilnadu in the Nilgiri hills is a blessed place.

Its fun to meet goats, cows, dogs and even Bison during my walk.
My connect with nature grew manifold after living in this beautiful place. I survived lockdow here and I can vouch that nature has a therapeutic effect which i personally felt during 2020.

The beautiful spread of this tree and its branches always make me wait and appreciate it. even if its dry in this picture today, have seen the canopy of foliage that gives shade and even provides habitat to birds. This place and tree offers a sense of peace and tranquility, everytime i visit here.

The picture is not doing the justive but this spread really create a visual spectacle to admire.
I feel Spending time in nature can foster a deeper appreciation for the environment and encourage responsible behaviors. The quiet and natural surroundings can stimulate creative thinking and problem-solving. I am saying so, becasue after every walk im refreshed to begin my wrting from a fresher prespective and clear thoughts.

You can see the track where I walk along the beautiful Vidya plants, better known as Oriental Arbor-vitae, Morpankhi, (मोरपंखी), Thuja compacta, Platycladus orientalis.

There is a lake too that i visit sometimes in my walks. A detailed post on trees there in my next post.

Nature walks offer a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional benefits, making them a valuable activity for promoting well-being. They provide a great way to reduce stress, improve mood, boost cognitive function, and increase physical activity. The fresh air, natural surroundings, and gentle exercise all contribute to a more positive and healthy experience.
“What is the good of your stars and trees, your sunrise and the wind, if they do not enter into our daily lives?” –E.M. Forster
