“Sometimes we can only find our true direction when we let the wind of change carry us.” —Mimi Novic
The last couple of months have been a whirlwind—of boxes, packing, shifting , adjusting, admissions, and endless lists that never seemed to end. Heat and humidity clung to us like stubborn leaves, making each day heavier than the last, everything played its role well. It was hectic, exhausting, yet silently preparing us for growth.

Yet, amid all this chaos, life was quietly opening a new chapter. My son stepped into his college journey, opening doors to a brand-new journey.
Watching him walk into this new world, I realized that just as he is growing, alongside his leap, we too had to move homes, adapt to a new location, and embrace change with all the chaos that comes with it. We too are being asked to grow—into new roles, new spaces, and new rhythms.
And then, like always, nature whispered its calm to me. In the middle of this transition, I found my pause… my breath. It came in the form of trees.

As I walked through his college campus, my eyes found comfort in the trees—lined along the paths, stood tall trees—silent, strong, and rooted, lined up in quiet strength, standing tall as if they were guardians of new beginnings. They whispered to me what my heart already knew: Life, like a tree, asks us to shed and still stand tall.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, “The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.”
Isn’t that what life is? Every new chapter, every step forward, is like planting an acorn—full of potential, growth, and untold stories. How true. My little acorn, once nestled close to me, is now on his way to becoming a forest of his own—branching out, exploring, and reaching for his sunlight.
And I? I am learning to let go like the tree lets go of its leaves. To trust that with every ending comes a beginning. To believe that shifting roots do not mean losing ground, but finding nourishment in new soil.

Trees remind me that love is both roots and wings. We hold on, yet we let go. We stay grounded, yet we allow growth. Just like trees, we too shed, grow, and move. Trees let go of their leaves gracefully, only to bloom again. Similarly, my son has left behind his school days, stepping into a new world of possibilities. And for us, leaving a home behind meant opening our hearts to a new place, a new rhythm.

This new life—his and ours—is not just about moving ahead; it is about embracing the seasons of change. Just as the tree does not resist autumn, I too must accept the leaving, so that spring may come.
May he grow tall and wise like the trees, finding strength in his roots and courage in his branches. And may I, like the tree, learn the art of standing still while everything around me changes. 🌳💚

So here we are—rooted in love, learning to branch out, and ready to bloom in new ways.
May my son’s journey be like these trees—growing tall, spreading shade, and blossoming with wisdom. And may we all, like trees, keep finding strength in our roots while courageously reaching for the skies. 🌳💚

Life and trees share this profound truth: growth comes with change. Moving ahead is never easy, but it’s the only way to reach the sunlight.
Leaves may fall, but roots remain,
Every ending births again.
Branches stretch, the sky they seek—
In change, we find the strength we keep.
