What is PraGunTatwa?
PraGunTatwa an Eco Blog By an Indian Eco-MoM. I am very passionate about the PanchTatwas of nature/ life. The word ‘PanchaTatwa‘ originates from Sanskrit, where “panch” stands for five and “tatwa” indicates elements. Following the universal law of life, everything on this planet is composed of five basic elements or the “panch-mahabhutas”.
Earth(Prithvi), Water(Jal), Air(Vayu), Fire(Agni), & Sky/ Space (Akash).
In other words, PragunTatwa – Blogazine is my conflux or Sangam of being a woman who thinks, cooks, is a mother of two, travels, and loves to explore. Therefore, I associate my Tatwa magazine with these 5 elements. It’s a cosmos, a relationship blog, where I try to build a relationship with all elements and spread the connection with nature and natural tatwas. I am a firm believer in sustainable and eco-friendly living.
What can you find on PraGunTatwa Blogazine?
Earth
In the first place, this element is my small effort to help Save Earth with my writings and posts. Sharing ways towards sustainable living, conscious sustainable lifestyle, religiously following the Rs of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Refuse for reducing wastage in surroundings. Love your planet – Love the trees – Love nature.
I promote #sustainabilitywithprachi in my posts, podcasts, and promotions.
Our planet can only produce a finite number of resources – from food to water – and can only withstand a certain degree of greenhouse gas emissions to stay healthy. We only have one Earth and are utterly dependent on it for our survival and well-being. Sustainable living means understanding how our lifestyle choices impact the world around us and finding ways for everyone to live better and lighter.
Human life depends on the earth as much as the ocean for our sustenance and livelihoods. Plant life provides 80 percent of the human diet, and we rely on agriculture as an important economic resource. Forests cover 30 percent of the Earth’s surface, provide vital habitats for millions of species, and are important sources of clean air and water, as well as being crucial for combating climate change.
Mother Earth gives stability. balance, infinite patience, and maturity in character are imbued by this element. Earth dominates the center and diagonal directions in every built-up Space.
When balanced, this element induces stability in your life – be it your career, behavior, relationships, or results of your efforts. It encourages a feeling of peace and harmony with the entire world – especially with those related by blood.
Water/ Rain
Water is at the core of sustainable development and is critical for socio-economic development, healthy ecosystems, and human survival itself. Water is the largest natural resource but only 3% of it is freshwater, of which just 1/3 is accessible for use in agriculture and cities. The rest is frozen in glaciers or hidden too deep underground.
As the world warms, climate change can threaten ecosystems and environments that protect vital water resources, limiting access to them even more. It is uncertain how climate change will affect rainfall patterns.
Water is a precious resource. One that makes our planet unique, and more importantly, habitable. So whether or not you’re facing a water shortage, it is important to find ways to conserve water for sustainable living. Plus, you’ll also save money on energy and utility bills. Conserving water isn’t hard. It’s all about the little, everyday things. Under the Water head, will be sharing a few tips to help you save more water at home.
Water is associated with the conception of new ideas, clarity of thoughts, creation of new vision, flowing of new opportunities in your life, healing energy, immunity, and restoration of health. Water dominates the North direction in buildings. When Water is in a balanced state in a building, the people in such buildings can see the larger picture of life. Though their attitude toward life becomes spiritual and philosophical, they are, at the core, essentially, worldly beings.
Air
Breathe the Aura of Air around us to have a relation with spirituality, our traditions culture & festivals. Here I write on topics happening in our surroundings. Lifestyle and the life we lead. I am a traditional mind on modern shoulders & that’s the aura hat I wear and love to preserve and spread our cultural values and traditional importance for generations to come. Festivals have an aura of themselves that surround us in their charm, festivities, and aura. Like air is essential so are the traditions and customs of humanity. Having a culture is very important, as Culture is the social behavior and norms found in human societies. It’s the ideas, customs, and social behaviors.
With small steps, we can make a big difference to ensure our planet stays healthy and habitable.
Air represents growth in your life. It is also associated with movement, especially rotational movement, so it brings refreshment, fun, joy, and happiness in life. This element dominates the East. The Chinese call it the Wood element.
Air gives you the courage to try new things, take risks for your growth, and explore your inner self. You get to meet people who pave the way for your growth and you perform impressively.
Fire
Fire/ Agni is associated with Food. So feel the warmth of Fire as Agni with home-cooked Food experiments to build a relationship with the Food we eat. Food is like yagna to our bodies. it’s like Tahiti to hunger, find my Kitchen experiments under this head. Cooking flame has therapeutic energy. This is my chef hat which I wear & have little expertise in, all credit to my M&M candies.
In Ayurveda, when we evaluate someone’s health, one of the first things we do is look at the level of their digestive fire. The Agni represents the fire element and involves everything related to transformation. The main functions of Agni are digestion, absorption, and transformation of food and sensations into energy since everything we ingest is to obtain energy.
If a person’s Agni is strong and warm, he or she enjoys good health and mental and physical strength. On the other hand, when Agni is out of balance, the opposite happens. Agni is energy and manifests itself as body temperature, digestive enzymes, amino acids, and all metabolic activities.
Fire is the driving force behind all life processes and thus is equated with money in the modern era. It can transform your life with confidence and enthusiasm. South is the direction of Fire.
In its balanced state, Fire brings you fame and recognition among the masses. It gives you zeal, power, strength, confidence, and money, which become the driving force behind life and its processes.
The Sky
This head has all of it under the sky.
- My free-flowing thoughts and personal musings of a Woman that I am to build a relationship with myself.
- My Travel Stories. The sky is a travel coach for travelers for years, Directions guide us, and the moon & stars also guide us on the path we go. East, west, north, south. I love exploring places and roads.
Space represents expansion, enhancement, extension, spread, communication, and even thought process (Mental Space). Space dominates the Western direction. The Chinese call it the Metal element owing to the perfect space configuration in metals (Atomic Structure).
In a balanced state, Space gives you the charge of your destiny. It gives you a sense of direction and the ability to get organized, ensuring that you excel in all that you do. Space gives you the knowledge and awareness to understand new, creative, and beneficial ideas.
