On my last visit to a water park named Black thunder in Mettupalayam which the nearest one from my hills, I potted this fruity tree.
While my kids were enjoying the rides the Tree Hugger in me spotted this fruity beauty and how can it go without a click. Sharing with you glimpses of Jackfruit tree I saw there.
I love jackfruit/ Kathal ki sabzi a lot, and watching these on trees I so wished I can just go and pluck them.
The jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), also known as jack tree, is a species of tree in the fig, mulberry, and breadfruit family. Its origin is in the region between the Western Ghats of southern India and the rainforests of Malaysia.
So if they are native to my land they certainly need special reference and mention.
You can see the toy train track near the tree. I’m amused and curious to know does the theme park people planted it intentionally, who would be plucking its jackfruits or does this tree go just without notice?
