Tree Love – Peepal Tree

When you see a tree I have lately felt the urge to go near it, touch it, hug it, click it and say a small thanks for it has stayed so strong and green for years. Tree Love is helping me gain more knowledge about the trees around me. I have understood the types and varieties and also enjoy knowing there family and groups.

In December had gone to Chennai for a task. Spotted this Peepal tree right in front of my room where I was staying. Today, when I write this I recall it been 6 months we haven’t stepped out for trips. Cherish these trees form old visits.

The hugeness of the tree told me in silence that this tree had seen a lot in life, had seen many faces, and many people with different stories and reasons who would have come to stay in this room.

The tree has given shade to people, cars, bikes from the scorching heat.

I actually felt like talking to its roots peeping out and something that I didn’t like was the cemented boundary that was built but the Tree has its own way and it came out breaking all the hurdles and boundaries.

The scientific name of the Peepul tree is – Ficus Religiosa. Known for its dark bark and heart-shaped leaves and well known for its health benefits.

“Love is like a tree, it grows of its own accord, it puts down deep roots into our whole being.”

― Victor Hugo
