Tree hugging

It’s hugging day today, whatever it means to you or whoever you hug today, have you ever hugged a tree?
Hugging a tree is not just to save trees or save the earth but it’s altogether a beautiful feeling.

Nature walks, treks, being with the environment, or even walk in nature can be relaxing and rejuvenating as nature is therapeutic and showers fresh happy vibes. How about in all this we hug trees too.

In my morning walk today the Royal poinciana was so inviting I couldn’t resist hugging the lush green tree.

Tree hug

Hugs can be a powerful way to communicate a feeling with someone else. So why not trees who are our support system.

“I have learned that there is more power in a good strong hug than in a thousand meaningful words.” – Ann Hood

We have read many times that hugging is universally comforting. It makes us feel good and happy. Hugging is even proven to make us healthier and happier. So how about if we do a healthy happy hug with a relaxing activity both combined together.

When you go for your walk today ensure you hug a tree and share and spread happiness and warmth and be with nature for a long while.

Talk to trees

Trees won’t judge you nor will they question you. So try and talk to a tree, it’s relaxing and calming. Trees will listen to whatever you share and won’t be judging you at all in return. They can give you emotional cleansing and clarity too. They are good listeners and won’t even gossip around.

Tree hugging should be a routine activity for any nature lover, it’s full of benefits. We are all well aware of the Chipko movement. So just find a tree, cuddle it and help the tree and also get a good happy feel for yourself too.

You know how much I love hugging trees around me. It is the hug that you receive in return from the trees is the most comforting act of love. Unconditional and unbridled.

This pandemic has definitely taught us how precious hugs are!
