Ep 7 – Green Talks with Panchtatwa Girl Featuring. Sachin Madan founder VirajGreens

” Never refuse to reduce, reuse, recycle “

In this episode of My Green Podcast, we are conversing with Sachin Madaan Ji who is the founder of Virajgreens. Virajgreens is a manufacturer of Bio-Degradable plates and machines too.

What are pattal or Bio-Degradable plates?

Patravali or Pattal or Vistaraku or Vistar or Khali is an Indian eating plate or trencher made with broad dried leaves of Sal or Banyan tree. Centuries-Old Leaf Plates Of India Is The New Scientific Invention By A German Company. We have been eating food since our childhood on leaf plates. Still at functions in Villages food is served on leaf plates.

Why Bio-degradable plates

Plastic plates contribute the most to this waste. In a year, a country wastes 40 billion plastic product items. The problem is that many of these products contain chemicals that are harmful to the environment. Chemicals used when producing disposable plastic and paper plates and utensils can also be dangerous to human health.

So when we say we are Being earth-friendly it should include using the proper cutlery for all occasions. And no wonder Compostable plates are a great alternative to plastic and benefit the environment. Especially when you are throwing an outside party or picnic or birthday party etc.

Why non-Bio-Degradable plates are harmful to the Environment?

We can’t recycle them
The production also causes pollution
And it is even hazardous to health
