Mother – Our value imbiber and vacation coordinator too

•

In all the roles mom plays, she is the first one to teach us values and valuable lessons. Mother – A value imbiber
I read some beautiful lines – “What single value is so important that you would teach it to your children as the most important foundation of a happy life?  Once you discover what matters most to you, you can convert it into inspiring others.”  On the 22nd day of the series of Mom’s be everything, we reach today on alphabet “V”. Let’s check out what roles moms get to play with their letter.

Values Imbiber

Kids learn through what they see, rather than from what they hear. This makes the mother’s role crucial in imbibing core values, habits, and behavioral traits from a very young age. The child picks the way a mother speaks, interacts, and engages with everyone around. This is how a kid learns and model this behavior as they grow up. Similarly, they observe how we treat others as well as mothers too. All these observations have a strong psychological effect on the child. So, make sure that you treat the lady of the house right. She had imbibed the traditions of her family. She knows the importance of all relationships too and helps raise her kids by valuing these relationships.

I grew up in a house with a lot of rules. My mom being a single parent, had to be strict and cautious. The lessons my mom has taught me, have guided me through my life and career. My mother was a teacher who maintained high standards at home too.

Mother is the first value giver

Mother is the first person to imbibe values in us. She absorbs and assimilates ideas and knowledge and values into children’s life. She is the one who teaches us right, wrong, to listen, to accept, and to believe. Every parent wants his or her child to be the epitome of values. Be it honesty, generosity, love, compassion, patience, humility, or self-discipline – the list is long. We all want our children to imbibe these qualities to become good human beings and responsible citizens of society. In all this mom is the first person who makes an effort to imbibe values.

Be it art of conversation, or table etiquettes, Be it how to treat others or having patience as a virtue. All these lessons from times immemorial are teachings by moms globally. Teaching values is important for building the character of your child. additionally, in today’s world, values such as concern for the environment, inter-faith harmony, caring for the aged, gender equality and inclusivity, have gained importance. Learning to be neat and tidy, greeting elders with respect, being punctual, and curbing aggression are some of the very initial learnings in value education. This all has a base that starts from a mother, who ensures her child learns values from an early age.

Tip – You see, these are common values our parents teach us growing up. We practice these values in the real world every day. We practice these values at home with our family, with our colleagues at work, with our neighbors in our community at home. There is no reason why it should stop there. You should be practicing those same values online in all of your Social Media activities. After all, these people are human beings…. human beings thrive on human interactions. Do you want Social Media success???? Follow the values being taught as a child.

Vacation Coordinator & Tour Guide

She is the one who plans our first trip, starting from childhood days when we use to go on family trips or when we planned trips with friends. Be it when we went on our first trip alone or when we packed for our first job outside the city, away from home. Moms always were there to advise and plan what to carry, and how to pack. She is our first trip planner, travel agent, trip booker, and also the maker of the fun. Lots of memories pop up, when I look back on how my mom use to pack the world in one bag.

“Making the decision to have a child—it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body.”
— Elizabeth Stone

Mother – A value imbiber for life, who teach us all the valuable lessons for us to become a good human being.
